Approach

Managed from concept to completion.

One brief, one point of contact — with the right specialists brought in behind the scenes — and a project managed through five clear stages — the same whether it’s a box of business cards, a new website or a national event.

Projects of every scale

Same process, any size of job.

  • Small

Business cards, flyers and single print runs.

Turned round in days — most print is ready 1–4 working days after sign-off.

  • Medium

Brochures, reports, publications and marketing campaigns.

Typically one to two weeks, depending on content and approvals.

  • Large

Multi-item event and exhibition print, across one venue or several — with a specialist team assembled and managed for the job.

Usually four to six weeks, planned back from the event date.

How work leaves the studio.

Most print problems come from the file, not the press. These checks happen on every job before anything is released.

Working together

Proofs, files & payments.

01

Proofs & approvals

  • Proofs arrive as PDFs by email — send each round’s changes together.
  • Check spelling, names, phone numbers, dates and prices.
  • Nothing is printed until you approve it in writing.
  • Colours can differ slightly on screen; a printed proof can be arranged.
02

Sending files

  • Large files: a WeTransfer, Drive or Dropbox link.
  • Logos: AI, EPS, PDF or SVG if you have them — otherwise the best quality you have.
  • Photos: original full-size images, not screenshots or social media copies.
  • Text: a Word document or the body of an email, checked and final.
03

Payments

  • Invoices are payable on receipt by bank transfer, unless instalments were agreed.
  • MN Studio is not VAT registered, so the invoice total is the full amount.
  • Bank details never change by email. If you get a message saying they have, call before paying.

Getting started

Three easy ways to begin.

Whether you have a rough idea or print-ready files, start however suits you.

  1. Send a brief

Email or call us with what you need — rough details are fine. You’ll get a clear, fixed quote within one working day.

  2. Talk it through

Prefer a conversation? Call and we’ll work out what you need together.

  3. See an idea first

Not sure yet? We’ll mock up an idea based on what you use now — free, and with no obligation.

The question everyone asks

Why use a studio when AI can do it?

Fair question — and we use AI every week. It’s a brilliant tool. But a tool isn’t a result. AI can make something in seconds. Making the right thing, getting it approved, produced and delivered on the date is still the job.

  • Everyone has a camera now. People still hire photographers.
  • Spellcheck is free. Nobody prints a book without an editor.
  • AI is a very fast pencil. Someone still has to know what to draw.

What AI does well

  • First drafts and quick variations
  • Exploring ideas before committing
  • Summarising and routine admin
  • Speeding up repetitive production steps

Used well, it makes good work faster. It doesn’t replace the person responsible for the work.

What you still need a studio for

  1. JudgementAI gives you a hundred options in seconds. Someone has to know which one is right for your audience, your sector and your goals — and confidently say no to the other ninety-nine.
  2. A brand that’s yoursGenerated logos and layouts tend to look like everyone else’s, and the ownership of AI-made work isn’t always clear-cut. A brand should be distinctive, considered and properly yours.
  3. Consistency everywhereA brand isn’t one image. It’s a system that has to hold together across your card, website, signage, stage and social posts. AI starts from scratch each time; a studio keeps it all consistent.
  4. The real worldAI can’t check a printed proof, choose a paper stock, set bleed, brief a printer or make sure 300 banners arrive at the venue on the right day. Print-ready and delivered is a craft.
  5. Accuracy and accountabilityAI makes confident mistakes — misspelt names, invented details, fonts you can’t legally use. When something is printed 5,000 times, someone has to be responsible for getting it right. With MN Studio, that’s us.
  6. Your timePrompting, fixing and re-prompting still takes hours — your hours. You’re paying for a finished result, not a button press.

How MN Studio uses AI — so you get the benefit.

  • Ideas, fasterWe use AI to explore directions quickly — so more of your budget goes on refining the right one.
  • Human judgement where it mattersEvery concept, word and file is reviewed, refined and signed off by a person before it reaches you or a printer.
  • Already started with AI?Bring it. We can turn AI drafts into a finished, consistent, print-ready brand — keeping what works and fixing what doesn’t.

The speed of AI, the care of a studio — and one person accountable for the result.

Getting started

How do I start working with MN Studio?

Send a project outline by email, or call us. We’ll arrange a short call to discuss scope, timeline and objectives, then send a fixed quote before any work begins.

What do you need to give me a quote?

What you need, approximate quantities and sizes, your deadline or event date, and any existing brand guidelines or templates. If you’re unsure about any of it, the free print buying guide covers the details — or just ask.

Do you work with organisations of all sizes?

Yes — businesses, charities, community and membership organisations, schools and national conference programmes. The process is the same at every scale.

Do you work outside the UK?

Print is produced through UK partners and delivered to any UK address. Design, brand, presentation and publication work is delivered internationally and managed remotely.

Can I see an idea before committing?

Yes. We’re happy to mock up an idea based on what you use now — free and with no obligation.

Process

How many rounds of amendments are included?

Most projects include two rounds, set out in the quote. Additional rounds are available if needed.

Will I have one point of contact?

Yes. One person manages your project from brief to delivery, without hand-offs.

Can you manage print production and delivery too?

Yes. We prepare print-ready files, specify stocks and finishes, manage print partners, check quality and coordinate delivery or installation.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, where required. Confidential material is handled with discretion as standard.

AI & design

Why use a studio when AI can design things for free?

AI is a brilliant tool and we use it every week — but it makes options, not decisions. A studio brings the judgement to choose the right one, keeps your brand consistent across every format, checks every detail, and takes responsibility for getting it printed, built and delivered on the date. You get the speed of AI with one person accountable for the result.

Do you use AI in your work?

Yes, where it genuinely helps — exploring ideas, speeding up routine steps, improving images and building digital tools. Every concept, word and file is reviewed and signed off by a person before it reaches you or a printer.

I’ve already made something with AI. Can you work with it?

Yes. Send it over — we can refine it into a finished, consistent, print-ready brand or design, keeping what works and fixing what doesn’t.

Artwork & files

What file formats do you accept for logos?

Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) are best. High-resolution PNGs also work, and low-resolution logos can usually be redrawn.

I don't have professional photography — can you still help?

Yes. We can source suitable stock photography or illustration, assess your own images, or advise on commissioning photography.

What will I receive at the end?

Print-ready PDFs with bleed and crop marks, screen-optimised versions, and original design files on request. Print-ready files are archived so reprints are simple.

I don’t have print-ready files — is that a problem?

No. Send what you have and we’ll prepare and check the artwork.

Print & production

Do you handle print, or just design?

Both. Choose the whole job — design, pre-press, print and delivery — or design only, with print-ready files for your own printer, or print only from your existing artwork.

Can you print small quantities?

Yes, from short digital runs to large volumes. We’ll recommend the most cost-effective process for the quantity.

Not sure what size, paper or finish to choose?

Tell us what you’re making and we’ll recommend the right size, paper and finish — free. The print buying guide explains the options.

Timelines

How long does a project take?

Most print is ready in 1–4 working days once artwork is signed off. Straightforward design jobs take one to two weeks; multi-format programmes four to six. Prompt content and feedback make the biggest difference.

Do you work outside office hours?

When a project needs it. Events don’t keep office hours, so if a deadline falls on an evening, a weekend or a bank holiday, that’s when the work gets done.

I have a tight deadline — can you help?

Often, yes. Get in touch early for an honest view of what’s achievable. Express print options exist, at an extra cost.

Communication

How do we communicate during a project?

Email for briefs, proofs and approvals; phone or video call for quick questions, kick-offs and reviews. Briefs, proofs and sign-offs all work remotely, wherever you are in the UK.
